Frequently Asked Questions View all FAQs
How do you order the correct replacement parts?

Before ordering replacement parts, make sure you have the fan model and serial number.

Where can I find instructions to wire a motor on my fan?

The nameplate of the motor includes a wiring diagram. Wiring diagrams can also be found beneath the motor image in our Buy Parts section. Simply click the wiring diagram icon to view it.

Can I install a thermostat?

Yes, but only if the thermostat has a simple on/off operation. Please note: if the thermostat varies the amount of voltage delivered, it will damage the motor and void the warranty.

Can I install my whole house fan vertically?

Comfort Cooler (CC) series whole-house fans may be mounted vertically, however, the AS and CSS shutters will not function properly in the vertical position. We do not carry a ceiling shutter for vertical installation. Vertical installation instructions.

MCMS Series Medium Stand ManCooler

QUALITYProducts.
SINCE 1948.

MCMS Series Medium Stand ManCooler

The MCMS Series Medium Stand ManCooler is engineered with a heavy-duty pivoting cradle that allows controlled directional airflow in demanding industrial environments. Designed for facilities where airflow must be redirected across changing work zones, the MCMS delivers high velocity industrial air movement with precise discharge control.

Available in diameters from 18 inches to 48 inches with horsepower ranging from 1/4 HP to 10 HP, the MCMS moves up to 49,700 CFM. The medium stand elevates the discharge point above floor level while the barrel pivots within the cradle to reposition airflow without moving the base.

Built with reinforced steel construction and direct-drive reliability, the MCMS is designed for continuous duty operation in manufacturing plants, fabrication shops, and heavy industrial facilities.

Pivoting air delivery

Heavy-duty cradle design allows airflow direction to be adjusted within the frame. Ideal for adapting airflow to work areas and equipment layouts.

Elevated discharge height

Medium stand configuration positions airflow above floor level for improved coverage of standing operators and production areas.

Directional industrial airflow

Redirect high velocity air where it is needed without moving the entire unit. Helps reduce stagnant zones and improve airflow efficiency.

Direct-drive industrial reliability

The propeller mounts directly to the motor shaft, eliminating belts and routine tension adjustments. Fewer moving components reduce maintenance and downtime.

High-efficiency cast aluminum airfoil propellers

Precision-balanced blades deliver strong air velocity and extended throw while protecting the motor from overload.

OSHA compliant guards

Heavy-duty guards provide worker protection.

Heavy-duty welded steel construction

Thick-gauge barrel and reinforced pivot frame are built to withstand industrial handling and continuous operation.

TE and Hazardous Location motor options

Available with Totally Enclosed (TE) and Hazardous Location (HL) motors in single-phase and three-phase configurations.

Integrated lifting eye

Standard lifting eye allows safe hoisting and repositioning within large facilities.

Factory assembled and tested

Each MCMS unit is fully assembled and tested prior to shipment to ensure performance and durability.

Belt Drive Models:
Single Speed, Division I, Class I Group D and Class II Groups F & G

Direct Drive Models:
Single Speed, Division I, Class I Group D and Class II Groups F & G

It is the responsibility of the purchaser and specifying authority to determine proper classification and suitability for the intended installation.

Important Safety Notice

Hazardous location models are supplied with explosion-proof motors and aluminum blades. The hazardous rating applies to the motor only.

The overall finished fan assembly is not represented as certified for hazardous atmospheres.

Application, installation, and wiring must comply with all applicable local, state, and national electrical codes and must be performed by a qualified electrician.

Hazardous location motors cannot be operated into service factor. As a result, fan performance may be slightly lower than published standard ratings.

These units are not suitable for applications where combustible residue, including paint accumulation, may collect on the motor or blade.

Triangle Engineering does not determine site classification or suitability for hazardous locations. Final responsibility for proper equipment selection rests with the purchaser and specifying authority.

The MCMS Series is designed for facilities requiring directional, high velocity airflow in dynamic industrial environments.

Multi-Operator Workstations
